     Hi,

    Interestingly the place where you call PreserveWhitespace matters, the msdn article says

    "If PreserveWhitespace is true before Load or LoadXml is called, white space nodes are preserved; otherwise, if this property is false, significant white space is preserved, white space is not.

    If PreserveWhitespace is true before Save is called, white space in the document is preserved in the output; otherwise, if this property is false, XmlDocument auto-indents the output."

    See if this was what you did

    Calling the preservation before loading the xml worked perfectly! Thank you so much!

    Hello Jimmy

    I am trying to use one content type in couple of libraries.

    I am trying to get the name of the library where the form is used in as content type (find .xml file created based on this content type) so I can do some actions accordingly.

    So, from this above example you gave, how would I say

                xmlDoc.Load(THIS);

    so I can then proceed with accesing XmlProcessingInstruction, so I can obtain href field from

    <?mso-infoPathSolution productVersion="12.0.0" PIVersion="1.0.0.0" href="some path" />

    for every instance of this content type no matter of is location

     thank you in advance

    Hello,

    XPathNavigator pi = MainDataSource.CreateNavigator().SelectSingleNode("/processing-instruction()[local-name() = 'mso-infoPathSolution']");

    will get you an XPathNavigator to that processing instruction.  Would that be sufficient for what you need to do?
