Trying to Hide Optional Section via Conditional Formatting; "Hint" Verbiage Still Shows Up

The hint verbiage for my optional section appears whether the section is in hidden mode, or viewable mode.  I don't want the hint verbiage to appear when the optional section is hidden.  Is there an options setting I'm missing on the Optional Section control?

If you don't want the section to show up at all (including the hint), do not use optional section but normal section control and put your conditionnal formatting on it. The goal of the optional section is to let the user open it if he needs it.

I have regular sections that "hide" just fine as you suggest.. but this one I need to show up / disappear as an Optional Section.  I wonder why it indicates it can "hide" in conditional formatting section, but really doesn't hide that it is there as the button still shows up and the hint verbiage.  So no way to an Optional Section completely hidden?

You can put the optional section inside a regular section and hide the regular section.
