Hi All,

 could someone tell me whether it is possible to assign a "from" for e-mails send via an info path form. The team I am designing a form for has a generic inbox and they would like to have all the forms they send out to be send from their generic e-mail address.

 By default infopath seems to send the e-mail from their personal inbox, which could be confusing for the people receiving the e-mail.

 Could someone advise me if there is a solution to this?

Hi Lucas,

If you're using InfoPath Form Services in SharePoint (ala browser-based forms) you specify a From email address. I'm assuming you are using the rich client. Unfortunately, overriding the From is a security issue (in Microsoft's mind) so they don't allow it via the out-of-box data connections. You could write some code, but I wouldn't. How about submitting to SharePoint and having a notification that fires sending email to folks from SharePoint?
