Creating a "dense" table (0 space between rows)?

We have a need to create tables (e.g. with 1 column) where the rows are as dense as possible (to fit much info on a printed page). I would like the result to appear as a single line paragraph in Word (try it - copy the table contents and paste into Word, make the text single line and 0 paddings etc).

The best I was able to can do it select the table properties and make cell top and bottom padding 0, and vertical alignment centered. Then multiple select all the text controls in the table and specify 0 padding and margins. Still it is not as dense as in Word - looks more like 1.5 line spacing.

    Any suggestions?

Two other questions: is there a way to select all the expression box controls in a table or column, other then manually? Is there a way to set default properties for controls in InfoPath or for a form (e.g. 0 paddings and margins for expression boxes)?

    Thanks,

Having user-defined default values has been a request of mine to Microsoft for a long time now... but it won't be available even in v2007 when it comes out. Sorry.

As for selecting controls--you have to do this manually (Ctrl+Click to select more than one at a time). You can't use CTRL+A because it selects everything.

Like you've said, you need to make sure you've set:
0 padding on all table cells
0 padding and margin on all fields in the cells

    Here's where you're probably missing:
Select the rows of the table, and set the ROW HEIGHT to auto. Any time you click on or drag a row border, the row height gets set to a value other than auto. You have to really watch this!

Also, you can use a smaller font size if you want more rows on a page. You can manually type in a size instead of chosing one from the drop down list.

    Hope that helps.

One other thing to watch closely is if you have any blank cells in the row InfoPath will make the row taller. You should at least have a blank space in every cell and the font size of that space as 4 (manually type in the number). This will ensure no extra height is added.
