InfoPath Dev

I'm in the midst of an InfoPath project, so may be posting numerous questions as I go. I note the following in the online help relative to data entry patterns:

"You can create data entry patterns that define how users must enter numbers and text into a control . . . Note Patterns do not automatically format data entry into a particular pattern."

How might I have the field automatically formatted based on a pattern so that if the user enters 9991234567 it is automatically formatted as (999) 123-4567? Bottom line, I'd like them not to have to format at all, but have the control do the formatting.

Maybe this thread can help you answer your question. However, it does not provide you the code to do it, you will have to figure that out yourself. :-(
