I have a SharePoint 2007 list with several columns of data. I am only interested in two: the Date and the Title. There may be several items with the same Date but different Titles. In the InfoPath 2007 form (using the client, not web browser), I have connected to receive data from this SP List and I then want to allow users to select a Date (related to a section below that will then filter to only items with that date), and from that shortened list in the second section, the user can select one item for display on the form. The user may need to provide several Titles on one form.
Example:
|
Date |
|
4/1/10
4/2/10
4/3/10
4/4/10 |
|
Title |
Date |
|
First Title
Second Title
Third Title
Fourth Title
Fifth Title
Sixth Title |
4/4/10
4/1/10
4/3/10
4/1/10
4/2/10
4/3/10 |
I would like the InfoPath form to allow the user to select from the Date dropdown, such as 4/3/10, and when two titles show below then be able to select one of them. Then on another row, the user should be able to make another selection and add another Title which could be the other 4/3/10 Title.
I have found information about date ranges and this does work, but this manner of filtering is not desirable for this particular form (too cumbersome for the user). In some of my tries, if I am able to select a date and have only those items with that date displayed, then I am not able to select only one (the data is static). Another way I've tried does get the dates in the dropdown but when I select one there are no results in the section below for the Titles. Can anyone help me with the best way to handle this?
