    Using hyperlinks in text fields

    Hi folks,

I'm currently working on a form that is linked to an Access database.

The users need to be able to enter hyperlinks in fields in the form, and to be able to click on the link to open the referenced document or page.

The problem is that hyperlinks are treated as plain text when entered in a text field. I can't use rich text fields because the data type on the Access table is Text.

Does anyone have a suggestion for a way to do this, preferably without coding?!

    Thanks and regards,

    Pete

I doubt that you will be able to do this with just a text box. If the URL is only thing that is in that node you can use a hyperlink control linked to the same node, but if there is additional text besides the URL you will need to strip out the URL, store it in another node, and link the hyperlink control to that node.

You should be able to do all this without coding.

    Hope this helps!
