conditional formatting to show an optional section

im wanting to show an optional section if the user opening the form matches a value in a form control.

however within the conditional formatting option for the optional control it only seems to allow me to hide the control, in other words the wrong way round to what i want.

ive set the section to be hidden by default so want to know how i set it to be visible...

    can this be done?

or can i utilise views as a way to do it? but can views be changed in situ of a form being completed ?

by defualt put the section as visible.

    and reverse your condition

    suppose your original condition was

if username is equal to  "abc"

    show the section

    put it as

if username is not equal to "abc"

    hide the section
