Hi,

I am trying to create CA Clarity web service based info path form.

I have two functions

1. Login which takes UserName and Password parameter.(only for authentication)

2. Query which retrieves data from database.

If i create new web service based info path form (1st for Submit and 2nd for Receive) then in myFields\dataFields i only gets attributes from Query function and i don't see attributes from Login function.

Hence i am not able to implemet Login function or in other worrd i am not able to map my form fields with login attributes.

Note: For form two Data connections are available in Tool - > Data Connections. But i don't know how to use Submit data connection.

Any help would be great to me!

Hi Sachin,

What kind of encoding is the Login Web Service using? Is it RPC encoded or Direct Literal? I suppose it's correct since you can add it. My guess is that there's something not compatible with the Web Service. Not sure, but if you go to the WSDL page (the ASMX) for the Web Service does it show the parameters? Qdabra's Web Service Suite (DBXL) works fine with InfoPath and it has separate submit and receive data connections on top of the XML data source.

Regarding encoding, I do not have much knowledge of this field. So sorry won't be bale to provide this information.

If open web service xml, I can see three openration Query, Login, LogOut also while creating infor path form(for submit and receive) based on that web service i gets these three operations.

Now first i'm trying to implement Query operation to retrieve data with data connection name as ""Retrieve Data".

And then implementing Login operation to submit data. AT this step i gets the message box showing tns:Username, tns: Password in parameter list.Now if i try to bind this with any Field or Group, i gets only Query operation attributes in myField. If i don't bind UserName and Password paramater with any attribute and click next, then i gets the message box saying that "You did not specify any field or group to provide data fro submit method.When user submits form, no data will be sent o web service."

Now in my Data Source (on right side of form) i gets only main data source with Query operation attributes.But in Tools->Data Connection i have two data connection (Submit and receive).

I have stuck here. How can i map form fields with login operation paramter.

Or other approach we are thinking is to provide sessionid (Skip login operation) to form. But no idea how we can do this. I guess, even web service based info path also might be sending data in xml file to web service. How and where i can get that xml? Is it possible to hardocde sessionid in that xml? Or any other way that i can provide session id to web service.(Session id is one of the element in web service xsd)
