InfoPath Dev

I am working on developing several form templates in InfoPath 2007.  When I go to save one (occurring on multiple files), I often receive an error "InfoPath cannot save the following form: [path].  Access is Denied."  Sometimes if I try to save again, it will save successfully.  Other times I will receive the access denied message several times before a successful save.  I currently have a template that has failed to save 50+ times (no successful save).

This is occurring on saves to the local C: or to a network share.  The user account is an administrator on the local PC and has Full Control of the share.

On a possibly related note, I have also intermittently received "InfoPath cannot open the selected form" when attempting to preview my template.  Again, this will sometimes appear several times in a row, but then the preview will open normally.

Hi -- no custom code on the save event? It sounds like this is happening for more than one form? Does this happen on other machines? or only the specific machine?

I can duplicate the error by opening a blank form template and immediately saving.

So far this has only occurred one a single machine.

Any blank form? Or just a particular one? What SP are you running? As you can probably tell by all the questions, I'm not sure what might be going wrong here....

Microsoft InfoPath 2007 (12.0.6413.1000) SP2 MSO (12.0.6425.1000)

I am starting InfoPath from shortcut in the Start Menu and selecting "Design a Form Template..." from the Getting Started window.  From there I select "Form Template" and "Blank" for a data source.  When I try to save that blank form, I typically get the access is denied error.

I have found that I get better results from saving as part of exiting InfoPath, but even then I normally get 2-3 denied errors before a successful save.  Same for saving as part of publishing the form to a SharePoint site.

Edit - I also ran a repair on my Office installation this morning and it has not made a difference.
