Distributing Completed Forms to Non-InfoPath users

I am new to InfoPath and trying to determine if it is the right solution for our project. One issue I have is that we will need to send the completed forms to external clients that do not have InfoPath. I'd like to send the form in a format that will be as close to the original form as possible (like a .pdf file) and I'd like to be able to convert the form programmatically. Can anyone suggest options that will achieve this (in any alternative format, not necessarily .pdf)?

    Thank you!

You can export the completed form as a .mht file by going to file -> export. This will be viewable like a web page, but read only.
