    Administrator Approved Forms

     Hi,

Can anyone tell me if this approach to deploy an Admin approved form to MOSS is OK

We are trying to use a document library to store the source templates for admin forms so as to keep track of their status.

We upload the source xsn to the library and work with file from there, editing and publishing. Everyhing seems to work -the document in the library is synced with the source file on hard drive and of course the published copy uploaded  via central admim, however when we open the filled form from the library using the forms in Infopath (ok in IE) there is a very long delay. (simple form)

Does storing the source in a doc library have any effect, does the location of the source file/published template/target form library have any effect on performanvce?

    Thanks,

     Casey

I am not getting how you upload the template. This is a nice aticle mentioning how to upload admin approved templates. Take a look at it.

Thanks for the reply Qazi, publishing/uploading/activating/associating is all ok, quite familiar with the process. Its the location of the source template I am questioning, all the articles I have seen start with the source template on a file share.

Question is, can I store the source template in a document library ?

i am not sure what do you mean by storing the source template in a document library.

you can store your template any where if it means only storing the template.

your forms will still pull the template from FormServerTemplates if they are created in the document library

By the source I mean the working file, not the published one, by storing I mean uploading to a Sp doc lib: this way when you change the file on the hard disk that was originally uploaded, or the file in the doc lib, it is as though they are the same file, changes reflected both ways?

    Seems neat but....

    That should not affect anything.
