    How to remove QRules

    Hi,

How do I un-inject QRules from an Infopath file?

And I think this is a related question:  I'm just trying out QRules.  If you accidentally click on "Edit Form Code...", for example in Button Properties in InfoPath, it appears that QRules stops working.  Is that correct?  What can you do to get it working again?  I tried "Remove Code" in Form Options but that didn't work. Does "Remove Code" also remove QRules?

    Thanks.

Hi -- if you accidentally add code to your form with qRules injected, InfoPath basically assumes that the code you've just created is the code you want to use. Simply close your template and re-inject.

To completely remove, take the steps you already did to accidentally remove the code module -- click Edit Form Code to open the editor, then Remove Code to remove all code. Remove the qRules data connections. Remove the resource file for qRules that is injected.

Thank you. Yes,  The part I didn't know was that I had to re-inject qRules after doing "remove code".

I assume if there were an easy was for you to disable the"Edit Form Code" button, you would have done it as part of injecting qrules.  So far I've clicked the button 3 times by mistake times in the last day.

It is also really easy to accidentally add events to fields, which will also require you to reinject. Since qRules is a compiled .dll, if you accidentally insert code into your form, the manifest will then use your newly inserted code file for the code. It can be a pain to try to avoid all the 'accidentally inserting code' scenarios, I agree.
