InfoPath Dev

Hi all. I am not new with InfoPath but please be patient with me :)

I have 2 text boxes in a repeating section. In here people are going to type peoples names and after each name they will return to create a new line (no coding for this). I want to be able to count the number of lines/names in each text box so that a non-edit box will show the total number of names inputted.

I have tried using count but that obviously counts the nodes and not the internal data (as far as i have gone in to it).

If this has been posted anywhere else then sorry, I tried to search but couldn't find it any where.

Any help gladly taken on board, been trying to solve this for hours :'(

Decided to give up on trying to count the lines in a text box in the end.

I decided to change the layout of the form so the user now has a repeating section. I have made 2 fields that count the number of times these repeating fields are present then add these together in another field which makes the total.

If you want more info then shout.
