Hello,

I would like to explain our requirement. In our SQL Server, we have a table which has few columns , one of the column stores XML data.

The XML structures also varies.

e.g.

<temp grade=1 lang="ENG" support="multi"></temp>

<temp grade=2 lang="ENG" support="multi"></temp>

<temp grade=3 lang="FRE" support="multi"></temp>

<temp grade=1 lang="HIN" support="single"></temp>

other XML structure may be

<class stu=100 lang="ENG" coutry="IND" avail="yes" rank="1"></class>

<class stu=400 lang="URD" coutry="PAK" avail="yes" rank="10"></class>

<class stu=300 lang="ENG" coutry="USA" avail="yes" rank="2"></class>

<class stu=200 lang="ENG" coutry="CAN" avail="yes" rank="3"></class>

1) if user wants to query the data which has temp of grade >=2 OR support=multi, then it returns appropriate data.

Also user needs returned fields to be varied, he may only need lang or he only needs grade.

2) If user wants to query the data which has class of stu <= 300 AND country <> "PAK" then it should return appropriate data.

Also user needs returned fields to be varied, he may only need stu ,country and rank. 

Is this possible using WSPP Query Builder or any other Tool ? Please suggest.

Note :: data is XML string which is stored in varchar column.

Unfortunately, QueryDB does not support anything like this (it will not parse the xml within a column).

You know, you could use DBXL to map your XML to tables and then use QueryDB to filter it using the conditions you listed. It should work fine. Probably an hour to setup.
