I'm sure there are ways to abuse the feature, but as a matter of principle there's nothing wrong with having controls bound to the same field in more than one view as long as you fully consider the implications of your design.
Note however that except for Form Load rules and rules on button controls, rules belong to fields, not controls, no matter what view or control you're dealing with.
