    Choice group binding

     Hello everyone!

I want to create an InfoPath template for filling some orders.

I`ve made a template, that sumbits MS SQL Server database, where I have few tables: orders, order_paragraphs and paragraphs.

In Paragraphs I store lists of  items of this order (every order have one or more items). All of the items stores only text. There are few types of the items. For example, one of them requires me to show additional information to user, when he enters the text. That`s why i have to use choice group. When user wants to add new item, he first of all sets it`s type.

But in the form  that submits my database this choice group should bind to some fileds. What fields should it bind in this template?

    Hi Wispa,

If you want to use Choice you can't derive the form from a SQL DB schema. You need to create it from XML to begin with. Then, submit it to SQL using a Web Service. Qdabra provides a free trial of a Web Service for SQL that you can submit your form to and if you get it working, it's a very inexpensive option (i.e. it will save you money since you will save a large amount of time).

    Good luck!

    Thank`s)

I`d better do it without Choice.

I have a question about Choice section.

In general, what fileds can Choice section submit?
