After a server restart, infopath data source can no longer access a web service.

    Good day,

I have a browser enabled infopath form in MOSS 2007 which accesses a custom built web service on another server within our domain.  The data connection files are in a data connection library, and cross domain is enabled in central admin.

This works fine for a month, until our web service server was updated and restarted.  The form can no longer access the web service, giving me the ever fun "Some rules were not applied." error on loading.

The web service is working perfectly, so to test it I created a new datasource within the form, and moved a few of the loads onto it instead, and it did not throw an error, and worked fine.  Checking the udcx files for the 2 they are EXACTLY the same, other than the creation date.  I tried using the new udcx file as the source for the original data source used by the rest of the form, and it errored out again.  At this point I am at a complete loss.  I could create a new data source accessing the web service in the form, and move all of the rules onto that one instead, but that is my absolute last option, and I have no idea if this will happen again, so I'd rather find a different solution.

Other forms using the web service still work.

     Any help would be appreciated,

    Zack

Re: After a server restart, infopath data source can no longer access a web service.

Well I ended up recreating every data source in the form, and changing a boatload of rules to use them.

It turns out that the only parts that were not working were ones that passed a parameter to the web service.  If it was just a straight query, with no passed parameter, there was no issue.

Still no idea what went wrong and we are worried it is going to happen again.
