Hi,
I would like to populate a listbox with rows from an external data source using the computed value of an expression which is taken from one of the fields in the external data as part of the filter conditions to determine whether to include a given entry. Whilst I can create a filter that uses a static expression as one of its components e.g. the value of the file matches a pattern, I can't find a way of using the string value of a field in each candidate row as the expression to evaluate.
Here's a bit of the view1.xsl that shows the sort of filter I'd like to get working. Here I've made up a function called "EvaluateXPathExpression" as a placeholder for some magic to achieve what I want. "model" being the name of my external data source and precond being one of the fields
<xsl:for-each select="xdXDocument:GetDOM("model")/Model/Transitions/Transition[(EvaluateXPathExpression(@precond))]">
Can anyone help with suggestions for the "magic", please?
Preferably compatible with InfoPath 2003 SP1...and only using javascript if necessary.
Kind Regards, Stefan
