    simultaneous sharepoint read/write access

can we actually read and write to the same sharepoint library?

for instance, if I have a data connection "Department" from a sharepoint site, can I use it for both retrieving data into the form fields and writting data from the form fields into the "Department" at the same time?

    Hello,
I think you can do this by doing some custom coding. one other easy way is to just have two data connections if you do not want to do custom coding.

is it possible to specify 2 data connections to point to the same data source (in this case the share point list)?
so is the 1 data connection used to read from the share point list while the other used to write to the same sharepoint list?

That should be possible. You would just have to transfer the data from one DOM to the other and then submit.
