Hi all,
Here's my scenario:
My company is still using SPS2003.
We also have MOSS servers where we publish Infopath forms but we have not unleashed it on the general population yet.
We have Infopath installed on all machines.
To make it simpler for users to create forms we have an ASPX page
for each form which has the following javascript to open the form up
without the "Save As, Open, Cancel" dialog:
createNewDocumentWithProgID(escapeProperlyCore(templateLocation , true), saveLocation, 'SharePoint.OpenXMLDocuments', true)
Users click on a link on our SPS2003 which opens up the template from our MOSS server.
When I use IE7 it works just fine. But when I tried it in IE8 I get the following:
![]()

Message from webpage

The form could not be created.
The required application may not be installed properly, or the template for this form library cannot be opened.
Please try the following:
1. Check the General Settings for this form library for the name of the template, and install the application necessary for opening the template. If the application was set to install on first use, run the application and then try creating a new form again.
2. If you have permission to modify this form library, go to General Settings for the library and configure a new template.

Anyone with any ideas as to why this happens or if there any workaround or fixes.
Thanks in advanced.
