Hi, I have a browser enabled form.

I have got a originator field in it and this is populated by the created by column in sharepoint . I only show this originator field on a second view which is displayed after the form has been submitted. But this field is coming up blank. Why is this? Got a feeling its something to do with getuserprofile by name, but I don't want to display the name of the current user, but the name of the person who created the form. I'm sure this is meant to be simple, and I did it in the past but forgotten :)

If you set the default value of that field to "userName()," then it will only set that field to the current user when first opened, which is the submitter.  This method won't continually update the value for subsequent openings of the form.  That only happens if you set the field's value with a rule.  Using a default value sets it once - the first time.
