    Mass editing in InfoPath?

I have inserted nearly 300 text fields into my InfoPath document in the Design Mode. 100 need to be integers, another 100 need to have default values, and the other 100 need to be read only, keep in mind they ALL need to be renamed as well. I've tried selecting multiple of the text boxes to apply whatever property I need for them to be but it is forcing me to edit each one individually! I know that this is not true within Visual Studio since that is where my roots are but any recommendations with InfoPath and mass editing of fields/components?

Any third party utilities or add-ins to help me?

    Cheers!

Could you do a search/replace on the XML file itself?

    A few thoughts:

    1. InfoPath 2007 has a Template Part feature that might be useful here. Template Parts allow you to create a small part of a form and then insert it into a template as many times as you want. So you could create an integer Template Part and then insert it into your template 100 times. Note that when you insert a template part, InfoPath names is templatePart_1, templatePart_2, etc...so if you want each field to have a specific name you would still have to rename the elements. But at least it would save you from having to add each element by hand and set its type.
    2. You could create an XML file with the structure you want and then design a template based on the XML file. Many XML editing tools have better support for editing the properties of several elements at once, and you can fill in default values using a spreadsheet-like interface instead of clicking on each element in the InfoPath design tool.
    3. You could save the source files for the InfoPath template (File-->Save as source files...). and edit the source files directly. This could be a little tricky if you don't understand the structure of these files and how they work together. You might want to start by creating a template with three "seed" elements that have the properties you want (one integer element, one with a default value, etc.). Then save the source files and take a look at how these fields are represented.
