 Hi everybody,

                          I am new to infopath. I have a problem with my infopath in my work environment.

Problem:    I am having around 13 columns in a repeating table. It doesn't look good so i have decided to move some of the fields in to another section under the table. So now i am having 7 columns in repeating table and the rest are in section(Should not be the repeating section as per the requirement) under the table. I thought we could use 6 hidden fields in the repeating table to store data by using ADD ITEM button. Here the problem occured. The repeating table is holding the latest fields from the section every time. And I don't have any idea how to get those details back from repeating table(hidden fields) back to controls in the section when the particular row is selected.

                          Because all the controls in the section are related to repeating table. So from the manager perspective he should see all the details of that particular row while checking a checkbox or option before approve the form. That means when he/she check that box the controls in the section under the table should get all the details back from hidden fields in the repeating table. The form should be browser enabled.

                         Please let me know if i confuse you with my scenario and any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm pretty new to this as well, but I would suggest looking into master/detail sections.  It sounds like that would suit your situation well.  Good luck!

                 It won't work for my requirement. Bcoz I shuld not use any data source before manager approves the form. That means i can't save the data from hidden fields to some where and retrieve it. I should submit after manager approves the form. Manager should be able to see the data when he click on a particular row or check box related to that row before he approves the form.

Could you instead submit to a data source, and include a field on the record to indicate whether a manager has approved?
