Populating a dropdown list from a query

    Hi all

I am new to this forum and infopath so apologies if this is a silly question

I am trying to get a develop an infopath form that enables a housing inspector to select a date he can perform his inspection.

The inspection results are loaded from an ID that is sent to the form at load time.  This works fine except one of the fields is that list of available dates (as strings) he can make the appointment on which, he will need to select and will need to be submitted.

I would have thought as this is repeating data you could just use it to populate the drop down, but it seems I cant unless it is in a repeating table.

This seems to be something lots of people must do with these forms so I must be missing the point somewhere.

     Regards

There's no need for values to be in a repeating table in order to use them to populate a dropdown box.  Could you please post a simple tree diagram, like:

    myFields
       group (repeating)
           date

describing the data source from which you will be taking the dates, and perhaps a screenshot of your form?
