i have created an InfoPath form to be submitted by email. One of the fields is a contact selector. The form is emailed and received fine however when the contact selector is used to pick a name instead of displaying the name the field goes all gray. Then when the form is selected the contact selector field comes through as a black box. I have reconfigured the contact selector several times with each returning the same result. I would add also that a associate of mine is having the same trouble on his form. any help in discovering what is causing this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Let me guess. You named one of the fields AccountID instead of AccountId?

That was at least part of the problem. Now the name displays on the form instead of a gray box. However when the form is emailed it still arrives as a black box.

I don't think thats supported because of Contact Selector actually is an ActiveX control, Altough you still can visualize your data by wrapping your repeating group into secondary repeating control (like repeating section or a table) For that you will need conditionally hide/unhide sertain sections on submit.

I believe you are right. I guess we were trying to use it in a manner not intended. I appreciate your time and help with this.
