    Emailing custom view

    Hi all,

Here's what I have: A form for entering conference information, that when submitted, will be updated in an Access database (this part works fine). The button for this form is the one linked to my data connection. After the user submits the information to the database, they also need to send an email to a shared email box with the conference details. So, I created a second button to generate an email.

Here's what I need: I want the contents of that email to be a custom view. I've read this article (http://blogs.msdn.com/infopath/archive/2007/01/17/emailing-a-custom-view.aspx) but this solution relies on the email data connection being the submit option, and mine is the database. I tried assigning rules to my "email conference details" button mirroring the ones in the instructions, but it does not work.

Does anyone know how I can accomplish this? I'm using Infopath 2003 and can't write code to save my life. Thanks!

    Geoff

you can have more than one submit data connections and create two buttons one for submitting to your original location and another for sending the mail
