    Unhiding a button after submit

    Hi,

I have an infopath form with couple of fields and I am using infopaths default submit toolbar.

Other than default view, I have a comments view in the form which has some fileds to enter the notes about the form.

Problem: I want to Unhide a button which says "Enter Notes" after user submits the form. This button will then switch the view to Comments view(on click).

I am using a Issubmitted filed which is "false" by default but chnages to "true" after submit . I dont have any idea how do I unhide the button to Enter notes if Issubmitted is true.

    Any help  would be appriciated.

Once that toggle field changes its value to true, you can use conditional formatting. Under Button properties > Display tab > Conditional formatting you can control when the button is shown/hidden or even disabled based on the value of another field.

    Hi,

To add the conditional formatting for a button, follow the below steps.

    1. Double click on button. You will see Button Properties window.

    2. Go to Display tab. Click on conditional formatting button.

    3. Then click Add.

    4. Select ‘Issubmitted' field in the first drop down. Is not equal to in second drop down and True in the third drop down.

    5. Check the Hide this control check box.

    6. Click ok until all the windows get closed.

    Hello Welcome to the Forums,

You can add the below conditional formatting of that button,

    Issubmitted is equal to false.

Re: Unhiding a button after submit

I followed most of this easily but I have a related question.  I have a browser-enabled form so there is a submit button at the top and bottom of the frame.  The form itself doesn't contain a submit button so how can I set the "issubmitted" field to True with any consistency.  If I add a submit button to the form then there's no guarantee that the user won't use the embedded submit feature in the browser interface and bypass my button; am I missing something?
