Hi,
I have a genaral design question about digital signatur with IP2007. Unfortunately, I did not find anything helpful on the internet.
I would like to implement a new custom digital signature control for IP 2007, because the default signature mechanism is not sufficient for my requirements. My forms are webenabled forms (for MOSS 2007) and they should be signed by a certificate which is stored on a authentification card (which can be read with a card reader). As far as I know the default signature process is just looking to the certificate store on my local machine. My approach is to implement a ActiveX Control which can handle the digital signature process (getting certificate from card reader, enter PIN, validating,...). I found an article on that topic for IP 2003 (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb608325%28office.11%29.aspx#AddingDigitalSignatures_without, http://blogs.msdn.com/infopath/archive/2005/04/15/creating-an-infopath-custom-control-using-c-and-net.aspx).
My question is, if that is also the common approach for implementing a custom signature control for IP 2007? Or should I implement my control as infopath template?
Thanks for your ideas and answers.
