Displaying information from SQL Server Database on a form

    Hi All,

I am new to Infopath (spent last 2 days to create few forms) and struggling to create a new form where i can display all the information from a SQL Server Database. I have already created  a submit form where user can enter information and save it in database. My objective it to create a form which when opened by any user displays all the information, in tabular format, from SQL Server Database. I will keep trying my hands on it, but if you can guide me in right direction that would be great.

     Infopath: 2003

    SQL Server: 2005

Thanks a lot in advance :)

Submitting the data from the form to the DB is much more difficult than just displaying data in the from from a DB.  What happens when you try it?  You create the form using the Database template and tie the main data source to the DB connection.  You then either just show the entire data set by dragging from the data source pane to the canvas, or you can create local form data fields and tie the DB elements to certain local fields for display.

Thanks a lot for replying. I got it done. I created a form and then opened Tools-->Forms Options-->Open and Save. I added a rule to query database.

    Thanks a lot again.

You shouldn't need a rule to tell it to query after opening.  It should automatically query the DB and any other data connection automatically upon opening it.  Did you not check that box on your data connection maybe?  I don't use IP2003, so it's possible that it's just different.
