    Null values from Content Selector

    Good Afternoon,

I've created an InfoPath form with multiple Content Selectors, but when I choose a name via a web browser, it inserts the selected name and a preceding ";" into the control.

This results in a dialog when the names are checked stating that there is an invalid name in the list.

Has anyone else encountered this issue, and/or have an idea of how to correct it?

    Thanks...

    Hi,

Contact selector will not add " ; " automatically. It will add " ; " only if you give multiple names, in this case also it will not add " ; " to last name.

You may adding " ; " in code only. Check your code once.

    Hi,

Contact selector control will automatically add ";" to separate the names if you select more than one name. But it will store only the name without ";" in the form. But while showing it will display with ";". Can you give more details how you are checking the names?

    Thanks, but...

    1. I have no custom code - this is straight "out-of-the box" functionality - I added the content selector, pointed it to my server, and this is what I see. So there is no code to check for a problem.
    2. I am checking the names with the button that is built into the selector.

I appreciate what you guys are saying - but the selector very much is prepending a ";" to the name. It is as if by selecting one name, it is actually selecting an initial blank name, then a 2nd name for my selection. Because there is no special code here, it has got to be a configuration issue - if not on the selector itself, than possibly on the SharePoint server I am pointing at for my secondary data source?

     Thanks...

OK, I found a bit more. This only happens in Firefox. I'm going to accept that, as our corporate standard is IE, but if anyone does have any idea why the browsers would act differently, I'd love to hear it.
