I have had a request to design an Infopath form where that if a particular item is selected from a drop down menu in a repeating table it will then open a repeating section and create a new repeating table within that section. An additional caveat to this is that if the same item is selected more than once in the original repeating table a new instance of a repeating table is created each time.
I have initially tried creating a Formatting rule for the repeating section to be revealed on the selection of a particular item but this only works if that item is selected first and will subsequently disappear if an additional entry is made with a different item.
