We have a simple from based on a schema. In other words, the schema was created first and used as the basis for the form. One of the form fields uses a dropdown list. The form behavior is erratic when storing the selected value from the dropdown list. Most recently, the form is storing NIL in the xml element regardless of the value selected from the list. We have other dropdown lists in the form and they are NOT displaying the same behavior. At least not yet...

Are you using any rules to clear the value or setting any value in the dropdown field?

Or value (If display name and value storing in the xml is different) is empty in the secondary xml for selected value  in the dropdown.

Thanks for the reply. We're not applying rules to the form field. The value assignment has worked in the past and still works on occasion. Yes, the "display name" is different from the value that will be stored. For example, the value is "LS" where the display name is "Serial Number".

If you set any value manually in the dropwn, then that value will not be saved in the form. Because that value doesn't have serial number.
