Hi - I'm not a programmer by any stretch of the term, but I'm working on an InfoPath form and have two funky issues I was wondering if somone could help with.
1. This one is weird. One of the final changes I made to a form before it was complete was adding a few rules to a set of calculated fields. These fields are growth calcs based on two fields in the form, (1) prior year actuals and (2) current year forecast... IE (2009 forecast / 2008 actuals - 1). The rules I added set the calculated field to "" (empty/null) when the numerator field is either blank or 0. This is a workaround to allow to the form to be submitted when there are no actuals for the prior year. Here's how I can expose the issue: Open form in design view > save and close > open form in form view (everything ok at this point) > close form > re-open form in form view... Upon re-open, the calculated fields now have validation errors and are filled with "NaN" (divide by zero message). However, if I open the form in design view, save, and close, the next time I open the form in form view the rules are working correctly (no validation errors). At first I thought this was a versioning issue, but I noticed a validation rule I set in place at the same time as these other changes is working correctly...
2. Data connections. Some users of the form can refresh the data connection but some can. Can't find a pattern, the data base is just an access db on a file share no open to all on the network. One of the users that cannot use the form is an admin on the box. Other admins can use the form. Could this possibly be an issue with the security settings on user pcs?
Thanks,
Chris
