    Saving form to virtual directory

We have a form that has the following data connection,

    http://www.swvtc.dmhmrsas.virginia.gov/infopath_screenshot.jpg

The http://swvtc06/Purchasing/ link is not a Sharepoint, it is just a regular folder.  We are having difficulty getting the forms to be saved in that folder, it gives the user a "HTTP 403 - You are not authorized to view this page" error, although the user has Read/Write/Modify permissions to the folder.

    What am I missing here?

    Thanks,
    Drew

    Hello Welcome to the Forums,

How you are going to save the form to that folder using File -> Save or did you write any code to submit the form to that folder?

If you are getting the error using File -> Save then that is you don't have permission to that folder.

Can you give more detail how you are saving the form?

We have a Submit button on the form with the following Form Action Parameters,

Enable Submit commands and buttons is enabled

    Submit To: SharePoint form library
Data Connection for submit: Main submit 3 (the above screenshot)

    Thanks,
    Drew

    Hi dr00bie,

    Welcome to our forums!

Since you chose to submit to a SharePoint library, may I ask why are you saving the form in a folder and not in the actual SharePoint library?

Re: Saving form to virtual directory

I was told that if I wanted the submitted form to be saved in a folder, then I would have to use the Sharepoint Library.  I am really, really new to Infopath, but I do come from a ASP/SQL Server background, so I am not completely ignorant of the technologies.  We do not have a Sharepoint Server to submit to, only a webserver.

If I am going about this the wrong way, then what is the right way?  How can I get my form to be saved onto a folder on the network when it is submitted?

    Thanks,
    Drew
