    Getting a Currently Logged On User.

     Is it possible to get the currently logged on SharePoint user from within a custom webservice? I Bassically want to make my own webservice that returns data based on the current user, but without the infopath form passing any parameters into the service. If it is possible how would you go about it?!

    Any help greatly appreciated,

    Scott

    Hi,

    in InfoPAth use the function username() when InfoPath open.

    Is this what you are looking for?

     Hi thank's for the reply. I need to be able to tell the logged on user from within a custom web service, without passing anything to the web service from the form.

    c#, try this:

    string UserName = HttpContext.Current.User.Identity.Name.ToString();
