Hi all,
Has anyone got any good guides / instructions for setting up permissions on Sharepoint Form Libraries? I know the basics but I am having the following issue;
I have a sharepoint site which contains many forms which are submitted to form libraries. Previously all users had contribute access to the form libraries and everything worked fine. A change has been requested to prevent people from viewing all submited forms. I have given users "Add item" & "Edit Item" permissions. They can now no longer see all the previously submitted forms but unfortuntly when they try and submit a new form, an error message appears;
InfoPath cannot submit the form. An error occurred while the form was being submitted.The form cannot be submitted to the following location:
*****************************/Temp - Please ignore.xml The site may be offline, read-only, or otherwise unavailable. Unspecified error
Changing the permissions back to Contribute fixes the problem. Strangely some forms will work without contribute (simply just add) - these are ones which are submitted by code using c# which were created by a contractor. The forms i created which are submitted by dataconnection "submit to sharepoint" wont work without contribute. Does any know why this happens? I am at a loss to see why the ones submitted by code work, yet the others dont. None of the forms "read" anything or connect to anything in the form libriares apart from submit.
I am using infopath2003 and Sharepoint2007 (this was migrated from 2003 about 6 months ago)
Thanks for your help
