    Edit list in data sheet

    Hi,

I have designed a new tempalte(infopath form) using infopath 2007 for my project.I have published the infopath form to a site as a document library.I have added the fields(Textbox's) of infopath form to a list as a column in sharepoint site.

I cannot edit the list in data sheet.I could see a small read only label at bottom right of data sheet. Please help me.

    Hi Sirii,

When you publish your form to Document Library, you should have a dialog in the Publishing Wizard with the text "The columns listed below will be available in SharePoint sites and Outlook folders".... Select the column/property that you want to edit in the data grid/sheet. Click Modify and map the property to one of the columns; specify demotion so that the property can get saved back to the form. After you are done, you can change the default view for the document library tp be datasheet format and you should be able to edit your form data.

    Good luck!

Hi, When you publish your form to document library, after giving the document library name you will get the window to add promoted properties.
    1. In that promote properties window, Select the column/property that you want to edit in the data grid/sheet
    2. click on modify button
    3. Select “Allow users to edit data in this field by using a datasheet or properties page” check box.
    4. Click on ok.
    5. Repeat the above steps for the fields you want to edit in the data sheet.
    6. Publish the form.
Now you can edit these fields in the datasheet.
