Problem with cascading List Boxes in InfoPath 2007

    Hello hello,

I created cascading list boxes in InfoPath 2007 using a manual from office.microsoft.com (but I took the German version).
Through this the list boxes are constrained to each other: when I pick something from Listbox1, the contents of Listbox2 changes.
My problem: when I change the selection in Listbox1 the first selected entry in Listbox2 remains and the right content is appended.

    First selection:

    Selecting something else:

It's disturbing because people that use this InfoPath form could fill in wrong information.

Do you know how I can fix this?

    Thank you!

    greets
    lil

Hi, Add following rule for "Db" field.
    1.      In Rules window Click on add button.
    2.      Click on add action.
    3.      Select “DB-version” field Xpath in Field text box.
    4.      Leave empty in Fx text box.
    1. Click on ok
I hope this will help you.

I'll try it as soon as possible and give feedback (I think perhaps Monday).
    Thank you!

Ok, right after posting that I do not understand your solution, I understood it - so I deleted my "I do not really understand what you mean"-text... ;)

I did everything you wrote, but now the ListBox2 is completely empty (it has the right number of entries, but the entries are blank).

(if you need a screenshot it may take one or two days, because I can't access the Infopath-File at home, but I also can't upload any files here at work...)

    Hi, Lil:

Are you still having trouble with your cascading list boxes? I've posted a sample here that demonstrates the concept. Download it, open it in design view and preview it and see if it helps you, okay?
