    Dear Gr8's,

Am new to Infopath, i just want to open and edit a xml file through InfoPath2003. Whether it is possible to open a xml file as it seems or the elements will be displayed as InfoPath controls. Can any of you please explain in detail.

Hi, You will need an InfoPath form template to open a non-InfoPath created XML. If you are looking to just edit an XML file, you can use any text editor, such as Notepad, or a free application such as XML Notepad (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=72d6aa49-787d-4118-ba5f-4f30fe913628&displaylang=en). - Dipesh

    Hi Rajapriya,
You will need InfoPath 2007 installed in order to open the 2007 form template that you have. I also found a forum link on MSDN, regarding Visual Studio 2008, that might be useful for you: http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en/vsto/thread/75eba78e-ee3e-4b32-8f31-ce70fc0914b2
