Only first row appears in database when submit data to Sharepoint

Hi all, I'm new here.. I have some questions regarding integrate InfoPath with Sharepoint and store data into database.

Firstly, I've one InfoPath form with repeating table.. let's say.. Expense form. I created Sharepoint columns and then link InfoPath fields with those columns. When finished, I opened that form from Sharepoint and submit data.

Then I logged into SQL Server and query for my submitted data but I only found one record which is first record I input into InfoPath repeating table.

Is there anyway I can submit all rows in repeating table into Sharepoint database. Please advice.

    Hi there.

Unfortunately, Share point is a flat data structure and not a database.  It cannot display repeating elements or relational data.

You would need to use SQL if you want to capture and report on this.  www.qdabra.com has the tools for this.

    Hi Clay,

Thank you so much for your reply. Anyway, regardless 'Qdabra', is there anyway else I may query data from InfoPath submitted into Sharepoint for reporting.

For example, I would like to create report for expenses for last month that were submitted by InfoPath form. I was trying to look for solution but I can't find it.

    Please advice.

    Unfortunately no.

Since you cannot represent the repeating elements in SharePoint there is not a way to report on them.

If you use the SQL on the Sharepoint server and use something like Qdabra's tools to extract the data then you can use SQL Reporting Services or Excel or whatever you want for reporting on the data.
