Help with Using the display name value

    Hi,

I have based my form on an access database and have a table called orders. In the table I have a relational link from _customerid to another table called tblUsers. the link then goes to the autonumber id field in tblUsers. I have a drop down box in Infopath which displays the Email address of the user from tblUsers[Email]. but stores the data as tblUsers[id]. This then enables the submission of the form through infopath. This works brilliant as I want the user to be able to see the email address but want the database to enter the id number of the user into the _customerid field.

My problem is that I want to use the email address that is shown in the box as a "to" value in a data connection by email. When you try and send the email it will try and send to the id number and not the data shown in the box. Is there any way that I can copy the data shown in the drop down box (not the value) and place this into the "to" field of the data connection or even into another text box?

     Please help

    Regards,

    Keith

Firstly can I say thank you to Shiva for that link. It was really helpful although I am still struggling a little.

From that link I have made myself an expression box and entered in the following Xpath for it:

    xdXDocument:GetDOM("tblUsers")/dfs:myFields/dfs:dataFields/d:qryAllUsers/@email1[xdXDocument:GetDOM("tblUsers")/dfs:myFields/dfs:dataFields/d:qryAllUsers/@ID = dfs:dataFields/d:tblOrders/@_customerid]

It still is not working though.

    Any ideas?

    Keith
