XmlTreeView: ReadOnly/Disabled controls after showing a section.

     Hi, newbie to Infopath here!

The project I'm currently working on involves managing forms in a custom aspx pages. The XmlFormView control seems quite straightforward: just entrer the form or template you want to edit in the appropriate property and everything works. However I'm having problems with a form that hides/shows a section based when a checkbox is checked. While the section shows and hides correctly, the controls inside it remain as readonly (or disabled, can't say). Funny thing is when I open the form directly from the form library, everything works fine.

The logical conclusion is that when I click on the library the control in the page is not the same XmlFormView I use. Is there any way I can use  that control in my pages?

    Thank you in advance.

Ok, after some more research seems that the problem is in the Infopath template.

We couldn't open another template using a XmlFromView while everything went right if we used it directly from Sharepoint. Turned out that the template was made by opening in desing mode an existing one and after some modification saving it with a different name. This left a lot of unused fields hanging inside the schemas and seemed to cause trouble with XmlFromView that responded with an error.

After that, I suspected the same thing was happening here, so I made a simpler template wich worked perfectly. Still trying to figure what's the exact error that makes XmlFormView to leave the controls as readonly, but I'm begining to think it going to be easier and less time comsuming just make the template from scratch.

Ok, finally there's the concluison to all of this: The xml node corresponding to a section in a new form has no children nodes, so the controls that bind to such nodes remain as read only. I've tried defining a default value for those controls, but no joy so far.

Guess, I'll have to forget about using sections.
