I'm new to InfoPath Forms Services, and I'm desperate to enable some browser forms to speed along our information-gathering efforts.
I've been fighting to figure out the missing piece of my Universal Data Connection files that is causing the "Design a Form Template" wizard to fail when looking for a suitable data connection file. This is the error I keep getting tripped up on:
"This location does not contain any data connection files with the appropriate settings."
I followed the instrux in "Lab 3: Integrating InfoPath 2007 with the Data Connection Library" (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb267335.aspx), and yet using the following procedure, I cannot get past the error message:
- choose File > Design a Form Template > Form Template > Connection Library
- choose a Site I've already pre-configured (where a Forms Library has already been created)
- double-click the Forms Library that I previously created (and where I've uploaded and approved both a ReadOnly and a WriteOnly version of the Universal Data Connection files I've generated)
I've been able to successfully create a Data Connection in a blank Form to both the ReadOnly and WriteOnly versions of the Universal Data Connection files I've uploaded (and Approved).
I've not been able to find any mention of this error that leads to any solutions, and I'm pretty much stuck for any other troubleshooting options.
Does anyone have any clues or tips that might help me resolve this roadblock? Thanks for any help you can provide.
