Is there a way to create an event handler to increment a value in another node when an attachment is downloaded? Any suggestions are appreciated!

That is a tough one.

I am not sure there is any trigger in code when someone opens or saves an attachment. You would need to check the references.

One idea would be to put the attachment control in a seperate view and then increment a counter when the view is accessed via a button.

The attachment could be accessible on another view before it has an attachment.

That is my idea if it would work for the form.
