Headers and footers - skipping the first page

Howdy folks! I have a document that we've created in InfoPath 2003 that has an input view (for a user to enter data) and a print view (for a pretty, finished look without the bells and whistles).

The customer wants the finished document to print with a header and footer - easy enough to do with what little tools we have to work with - but they want a cover page on the document without the header/footer (but showing on all subsequent pages after that). There are two sections within the document that make it so we can't insert page breaks and static headers (one is optional and the other is a Rich Text Box where they can paste in a portion of a spreadsheet that could expand the document a few extra pages), so that route is out of the question. Help!

That is difficult as InfoPath only allows you to specify a single print view. Without doing your header/footer in the view (and not as an actual header/footer) I don't know how you will be able to do this. . . but then this complicates things, now doesn't it? And I guess that having the user print, switch views and print again is obviously out of the question.

Yeah - what  pickle, huh? I was pretty sure there wasn't a way but had to ask the question. I'll see what I can do about talking them into page breaks. Thanks for responding, you guys are the best!

Glad to be of help. The easiest solution (if possible) is to convince them that it is okay to have the header/footer on the cover page.
