    Code

Re: Error when clicking save button

Best Practice is to just create a submit data connection which submits the file to a network location or website.  You can set the file name, like it looks like you are trying to do.  You should not need to hijack the save function with code.  Typically you would disable the user's save functionality so that the submit, which has a standardized process, is the only option.

Clay thanks for the reply. I am new to infopath and am trying to get a grip on it. Would you have a sample of what your refering to? That would be a great help. Thanks for your time in this matter.

Go to tools and data connections and go through the wizard.

I am sure there are blogs here and tutorials which have the submit to SharePoint or file location included in the text.
