    type-ahead data connection lookup

     Hi,

I have a form that autofills customer name, address, customer ID when the user types in the customer phone number through an external access database. However, I was wondering whether it would be possible to have a type-ahead type box so when the user starts typing the customer name the box will auto-suggest customer names and automatically fill in the rest of the customer info. I tried to use the smart combo listbox, but I couldn't find a download place for it. Also, I don't think it would work because the field would need to use an external data connection. I would like this to somehow work like google suggest or something similar.

Thanks for any help you could give me. I appreciate anything!

Using the Auto Complete I have seen this done but AutoComplete works in IE and other apps so it can have an unlimited amount of data.

You could use the "begins with" comparison to possibly have them enter a partial in one field which would display items that began with the partial string in a list box.
