Hi

I want to have my forms read only when they are viewed, but i also want users to be able to view /download the attachment.

By making a read only view its also greyed out the attachment control..

Is there a way round this or will I now have to un check read only in view properties and make every single field read only apart from the attachment one by conditional formatting etc?

Yes you would need to remove the view properties and do the fields individually since the attachment control does not allow view when read-only.  Another option would be to have another view with just the attachemnt control and a button on the readonly view to show this attachment view.

I noticed though that you can never really make the attachment control true 'read only' when viewing the form... theres always options to attach and remove. Surely people might want a proper read only version of the control- so they can just 'read' the document attached... I spent a while searching and can't find any solution to this apart from others asking the same question :)

Has anyone found a way to just show the 'Download' option when you click the attachment
