    Changing the default view programatically

    Hi all,

am using infopath 2007 with MOSS,I have a form thats filled in by the user, user then submit the form to a document library.

this form has a clear button which clear all fields once clicked. The problem is that after submission of the form another user must open it to do

a prober action, but that user still see the clear button because he see the same view.

My question is how can I change the default view of the form after the submission?

I think you have a couple options here. You do not really have to change the default view you can add a rule when the form opens that switches the view to whatever one you want.

Either way you need a field in your form that keeps track of it state, new, submitted, etc.

When the user submits you can have a rule update this field accordingly and then have a rule when the form opens that checks the field value and if it has been submitted switch views to view B or whatever.

Another option is instead of creating another view just put a confitional format on the clear button that hides it if the form has been submitted.

    Have fun.
